Whitko came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 58-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Whitko got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayma Stonebraker out in front who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five steals. Stonebraker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Stonebraker, who earned 11 points along with five assists and four steals.

Lakewood Park Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Ava McGrade and Gracelyn Martin. McGrade went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, while Martin scored ten points and eight boards.

Whitko has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Whitko has already played their next game, a 52-33 win against Southwood on the 18th. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Fort Wayne Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
