Preview: St. Clair Saints vs. Lakeview Huskies
The St. Clair Saints will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakeview Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, St. Clair suffered a tough 62-36 loss at the hands of Port Huron Northern. It was the first time this season that St. Clair let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lakeview, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-48 loss to Utica on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Lakeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Utica is ranked 34th).
St. Clair's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5. As for Lakeview, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.
St. Clair skirted past Lakeview 52-49 in their previous meeting back in January. Does St. Clair have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
