After losing to Hammond Morton the last time they met, Hammond Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Governors on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Governors on their field since May 25, 2023.
Jansel Savinon was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Cameron Keaton was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As for Hammond Morton, they will square off against Whiting at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
