Volleyball Game Preview: Roy Royals vs. Clearfield Falcons

Roy hasn't had much luck against Clearfield recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Royals will face off against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Roy is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Bonneville.

While Roy ultimately came up short, they really made Bonneville work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 16-25, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Clearfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Box Elder.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Roy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Roy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Clearfield in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Royals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
