Baseball Game Preview: Lancaster Mennonite Blazers vs. Christian School of York

The Lancaster Mennonite Blazers will square off against Christian School of York at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lancaster Mennonite came up short against Lancaster Catholic on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lancaster Mennonite saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Buckwalter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Christian School of York ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over West Shore Christian Academy. Those two runs were actually the fewest Christian School of York has put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Lancaster Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Christian School of York, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
