Mineral Point entered their tilt with Cuba City on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cubans. This was payback for the Pointers, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-102) Mineral Point actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 20-25, 25-21, 27-25, 15-9.

Mineral Point's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Cuba City, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-9.

After both having extra time off, Mineral Point and St. Ambrose Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cuba City, they will challenge Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
