Volleyball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

North Shore came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Kingwood, falling 3-0. If North Shore was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Kingwood when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-16.

North Shore's offense was headlined by Amaya Edwards and Zoe Williams, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Madison Gray and her 11 assists. Edwards was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

North Shore has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Kingwood, their win bumped their record up to 7-20.

Looking ahead, North Shore will square off against Goose Creek Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kingwood, they will welcome Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
