Haltom and Grand Prairie are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but likely not for long. The Haltom Buffalos will challenge the Grand Prairie Gophers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Haltom's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Haltom fell victim to Lamar and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Vikings are ranked 157th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Grand Prairie was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 6-0 to Martin. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Gophers struggled afterwards.

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Grand Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Haltom skirted past Grand Prairie 3-2 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haltom since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
