Basketball Recap: Asa Gonsalves Key Part of Team Effort in Bobcats Win

Ben Holt College Prep Academy won the last time they faced Vanguard College Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats came out on top against the Lions by a score of 63-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Asa Gonsalves out in front who shot 64% from the field en route to 20 points. What's more, Gonsalves also posted a 57% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Brandon Stinson was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Vanguard College Prep lost, don't look at Nathan Muriithi. Despite the final result, he shot 44% from the field on his way to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Nicolas Murithii, who posted eight points.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vanguard College Prep, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
