Softball Recap: Glenbard North Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Glenbard North dropped their record down to 11-3 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheaton North Falcons. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Falcons when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Wheaton North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games.

For Wheaton North's part, the result came thanks to Hannah Wulf's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. Wulf has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reagan Crosthwaite, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Glenbard North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Batavia on the 2nd. As for Wheaton North, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lake Park on the 2nd.
