Softball Recap: Mt. Eden Takes a Loss

Mt. Eden lost against Alameda back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Monarchs fell 7-3 to the Hornets. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelby Newcomb made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Mt. Eden now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Alameda, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7-1.

Coming up, Mt. Eden will be playing at home against Encinal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alameda, they will venture away from home to face off against Arroyo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
