Baseball Recap: Cayuga Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cross Roads last Tuesday, Cayuga came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Frankston Indians by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Cash Conner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Cayuga's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Frankston, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

While Cayuga had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
