Basketball Recap: Crete Drops Season-High Score on North Platte

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crete). They blew past the North Platte Bulldogs 67-44 on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their 25-point performance the match before.

North Platte's loss came despite strong showings from Khloe Haneborg and Josie Douglas. Haneborg posted ten points, while Douglas scored 11 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Haneborg a new career-high in shooting accuracy (60%).

Crete has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for North Platte, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Crete will host Aurora at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Platte, they will venture away from home to take on Scottsbluff at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
