Frontier dropped their record down to 18-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Conotton Valley Rockets, falling 14-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cougars, who until this match were averaging 1.86 runs allowed.

As for Conotton Valley, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 21-1. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Conotton Valley's part, Maddison Kelley was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Kelley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Delilah Williams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Gretchin Rolli was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier will challenge Waterford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conotton Valley, they will welcome Dover at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 2.3, the Crimson Tornadoes 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
