Recap: Mentorship Academy vs. Ascension Catholic
Ascension Catholic won the last time they faced Mentorship Academy, and things went their way on Friday, too. Ascension Catholic were fully in charge, breezing past Mentorship Academy 66-0. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 54-0.
Senior Rodney Blanchard, who rushed for 42 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in the success. Senior Michael Medine iii was in the mix, too, providing Ascension Catholic with 2 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Ascension Catholic a 1-0 record and starting Mentorship Academy off at 0-1.
Ascension Catholic will look to defend their home turf next week against Wright at 7:00 PM. As for Mentorship Academy, they will face off against North Central.
