Lane Tech never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Resurrection Bandits 12-0. Considering the Champions have won nine matchups by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lane Tech got a great performance from Grace Thornley as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Thornley a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Olivia Segura was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Marin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
