Basketball Game Preview: Greencastle Tiger Cubs vs. Cascade Cadets

The Greencastle Tiger Cubs will head out to take on the Cascade Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greencastle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Cascade likes a good challenge.

Greencastle picked up another tournament win on Friday. They managed a 65-59 victory over South Putnam. The win continues a trend for the Tiger Cubs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Greencastle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Sutherlin led the charge by going 7-for-14 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevin Long, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 19 points.

Meanwhile, Cascade scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 81-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Phalen Leadership Academy.

Greencastle's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Greencastle didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cascade in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 46-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greencastle since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
