Baseball Recap: Concord Minutemen vs. Mishawaka Cavemen

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Concord nor Mishawaka made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Minutemen fell just short of the Cavemen by a score of 5-4. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Joey Hauger was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Concord is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-4 otherwise.
