Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions vs. Holy Name Green Wave

The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions will face off against the Holy Name Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 17, 2024 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Elyria Catholic and fell 65-35. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Holy Name came up short against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on Wednesday and fell 61-50. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Royals are ranked 78th).

Holy Name dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-10.
