Soccer Recap: Catawba Ridge Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Rock Hill

There's no place like home for Catawba Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Rock Hill Bearcats get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what Catawba Ridge needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit Rock Hill with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Phoebe Serkin, Kaelyn Severance, Julia Kaplan, and Cici Gardner.

Catawba Ridge pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Rock Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season.
