Softball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Eastern's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastern can now relate to. They lost 11-2 to the Symmes Valley Vikings on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Eastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlynn Thomas 2027, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Eastern moved to 16-9 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Symmes Valley, they pushed their record up to 26-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.
