Softball Recap: Great Bridge Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Great Bridge's offense. They fell just short of the Ocean Lakes Dolphins by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bailey Bliven spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

Great Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Ocean Lakes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Great Bridge will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bayside at 5:45 p.m. Ocean Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
