Volleyball Recap: Sean Ginter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rome Free Academy over Proctor

Rome Free Academy lost against Proctor back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rome Free Academy Black Knights came up short against the Proctor Raiders, falling 3-0.

Rome Free Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-10, 25-15.

Rome Free Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sean Ginter, who had 13 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Pomales, who had six digs and one block.

Rome Free Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Proctor, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Vernon-Verona-Sherrill the next time they take the court. Rome Free Academy will host Vernon-Verona-Sherrill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Proctor will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
