Basketball Recap: Montezuma's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Montezuma won the last time they faced Sigourney and things went their way on Friday too. The stars were shining brightly for the Montezuma Braves in a 64-46 victory over the Sigourney Savages. Winning may never get old, but the Braves sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Montezuma's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Sigourney, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

After both having extra time off, Montezuma and Keota will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Sigourney, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lynnville-Sully at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
