Baseball Recap: Nathan Hale Comes Up Short

Nathan Hale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Locust Grove Pirates, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 back in March.

Nathan Hale's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Locust Grove, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nathan Hale will challenge Shawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Locust Grove, they will venture away from home to challenge Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ridgerunners' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
