Softball Recap: Magnet Cove Wins Going Away Against Fordyce

While Magnet Cove put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Fordyce. The Panthers put the hurt on the Redbugs with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Braelyn McEntire was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. McEntire was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jaci Hill was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Schlosser, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Magnet Cove hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matches.

The victory got Magnet Cove back to even at 6-6. As for Fordyce, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Magnet Cove has already played their next contest (against Lake Hamilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fordyce, they will take on Poyen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
