Preview: Madison Bulldogs vs. Boothbay Seahawks
Madison has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Boothbay Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Madison suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-42 loss at the hands of Spruce Mountain. Madison has struggled against Spruce Mountain recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Richmond typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Boothbay proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 62-56 win over the Bobcats. The win was all the more spectacular given Boothbay's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Richmond is ranked 12th).
Madison's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Boothbay, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.
Madison lost to Boothbay on the road by a decisive 63-49 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Madison, Gryffin Kristan (who scored 22 points along with four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
