Baseball Game Preview: Chugiak Mustangs vs. Ketchikan Kings

For the second straight game, Chugiak will face off against Ketchikan. The Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chugiak barely beat Ketchikan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Kings on Thursday.

The team relied heavily on Blake Yawit, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Cage, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chugiak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ketchikan only managed three hits.

The victory got Chugiak back to even at 1-1. As for Ketchikan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything went Chugiak's way against Ketchikan when the teams last played on Thursday, as Chugiak made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Kings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
