With a playoff win on the line, Neches rose to the challenge on Monday. They breezed past the Avalon Eagles to the tune of 58-22. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Neches has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points over those games. As for Avalon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers take on the Panthers on Thursday. Gorman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Neches likes a good challenge. Avalon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
