Basketball Game Preview: Ashbrook Greenwave vs. North Lincoln Knights + How To Watch

The Ashbrook Greenwave will challenge the North Lincoln Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashbrook has given up an average of 51.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Ashbrook ended up a good deal behind East Lincoln and lost 63-49. While the Greenwave didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 17-13 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, North Lincoln hadn't done well against Alexander Central recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Cougars 104-65. With the Knights ahead 52-31 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Ashbrook better keep an eye on Nick Whitener. He was instrumental in North Lincoln's win, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 15 rebounds. Those 29 points gave Whitener a new career-high. Carter Abernethy was another key player, shooting 56% from the field en route to 23 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

North Lincoln was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. They racked up 12 more assists than Alexander Central's also-impressive total of 14.

Ashbrook's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Lincoln, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Ashbrook didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against North Lincoln when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 69-63 victory.
