Greely came out on top against Freeport  on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Rangers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Falcons  a   7-0 shutout. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven  runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to  Sylas Almy's shutout, as he gave up just a  hit and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Owen Piesik was  excellent,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Wyatt Soucie, who  went 1-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
Greely's record now sits at 9-2. As for Freeport, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Greely didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  5-4  loss against Cape Elizabeth on the 19th. Hopefully Freeport paid attention to the Rangers'  game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Rangers  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
