Basketball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-30 heartbreaker at the hands of the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lobos have suffered since December 12, 2024.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Santa Teresa, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will head out to challenge Silver at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Teresa, they will head out on the road to square off against Deming at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deming will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Santa Teresa surely won't give up without a fight.
