Volleyball Game Preview: Glencoe Yellowjackets vs. Sand Rock Wildcats

Glencoe hasn't had much luck against Sand Rock recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will square off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Glencoe came up short against Ohatchee and fell 3-1.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Glencoe lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 12-25, 25-22.

Gracyn Bunt put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 12 digs. Peyton Gray was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Sand Rock also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Ashville by a score of 2-0.

Glencoe's defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Sand Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Glencoe was able to grind out a solid victory over Sand Rock when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
