Football Recap: Duquoin Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between DuQuoin and Nashville, and DuQuoin kept the tradition alive. The Indians walked away with a 28-18 win over the Hornets on Friday. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 28-14 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DuQuoin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Jones, who rushed for 152 yards and three TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Jones, who gained 146 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: DuQuoin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

DuQuoin pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average this season. As for Nashville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, DuQuoin will look to defend their home field on Friday against Murphysboro at 7:00 p.m. As for Nashville, they will head out on the road to face off against Chester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
