Basketball Recap: Turpin Gets the Win

Turpin proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 35) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 victory over the Shattuck Indians. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 39-34 loss the last time these two teams met.

Turpin's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Shattuck, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Turpin Cardinals take on the Boise City Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shattuck, they will head out to take on Vici at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
