Basketball Recap: Wiseburn- Da Vinci Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's tournament run continued when they took on Maranatha Christian on Friday. The Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves walked away with a 61-51 victory over the Maranatha Christian Eagles. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Eagles are ranked 351st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dash Ekeroth, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Ownbey, who earned ten points and seven rebounds.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Maranatha Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-54 win against Norte Vista on the 28th. As for Maranatha Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-45 victory against Flintridge Prep on the 28th.
