Baseball Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian Royals vs. Linfield Christian Lions

For the second straight game, Woodcrest Christian will face off against Linfield Christian. The Royals will square off against the Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Woodcrest Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Linfield Christian.

Austin Anderson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Suarez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Linfield Christian and nudges their season record down to 11-5-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Woodcrest Christian, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
