Preview: Morristown Yellow Jackets vs. Southwestern Spartans
The Morristown Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Southwestern Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morristown has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
Last Saturday, Morristown ended up a good deal behind Alexandria-Monroe and lost 62-45.
Morristown's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kellen Crim, who scored 13 points along with four steals, and Mathew Carlton who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carlton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was William Snyder, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Southwestern had to suffer through a rough 64-37 loss at the hands of Hauser. While losing is never fun, Southwestern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while Hauser is ranked 155th).
Morristown dropped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Southwestern's record now sits at 1-14.
Morristown didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Southwestern in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 34-30 win. Will Morristown repeat their success, or does Southwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
