Baseball Game Preview: Hamilton Big Blue vs. Middletown Middies

The Hamilton Big Blue will head out to square off against the Middletown Middies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hamilton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Lakota West on Monday. They fell 6-2 to the Firebirds. The loss put an end to the Big Blue's undefeated start to the season.

William Baker and Caleb Warner did some serious damage despite the final result: Baker scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Warner went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Middletown lost 15-3 to Hamilton.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hamilton fell to 2-1. As for Middletown, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything went Hamilton's way against Middletown when the teams last played last Monday, as Hamilton made off with a 15-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Blue since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
