Volleyball Recap: Cleveland Heights Tigers vs. Strongsville Mustangs
Cleveland Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Strongsville Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.
Cleveland Heights took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-13, 25-16.
Anthony Pinzone was the offensive standout of the contest as he had seven assists and four aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March of 2024.
Cleveland Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Strongsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-7 record this season.
After both having extra time off, Cleveland Heights and Jackson will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Polar Bears will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Strongsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
