Baseball Recap: Nederland's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Nederland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Friendswood Mustangs on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Nederland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alfred Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Ayden Sunday was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Nederland's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 5.75 runs across that stretch. As for Friendswood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-9-1.

As of now, neither Nederland nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
