Softball Recap: Central of Clay County Takes a Loss

Central of Clay County came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to the Horseshoe Bend Generals. The defeat continues a trend for the Volunteers in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost three in a row.

Central of Clay County's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Horseshoe Bend, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central of Clay County will square off against Sylacauga at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horseshoe Bend, they will take on Reeltown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
