Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Richfield walked away with it. They came out on top against the Providence Hall Patriots by a score of 7-4 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Patriots on Thursday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Richfield got a big performance out of Malik Fautin, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Bridger Vincent, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Richfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Richfield's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-17. As for Providence Hall, their record is now 15-9.

Richfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair will be back at it again later today.
