Paraclete is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Garces Memorial. Paraclete blew past Garces Memorial 42-21 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Paraclete didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jones, Jaylin Wilson, and Savaughn Gentle picked up one apiece. Jones' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Leuzinger got themselves on the board against Kaiser on Thursday, but Kaiser never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cats 62-0 on the road. Given the Olympians' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Cats are ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Journee Tonga had a dynamite game for Leuzinger, rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, while also picking up 66 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Russell Sekona, who threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.
