A J Goode commands the offense for Wind win

Recap: New Manna Christian Wind vs. Victory Christian Academy Patriots

Even though the Victory Christian Academy Patriots scored an imposing 67 points on Thursday, the New Manna Christian Wind still came out on top. New Manna Christian took their matchup against Victory Christian Academy 77-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for New Manna Christian.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Manna Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than A J Goode, who scored 20 points. Cannon Stamey was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Lloyd Hampton, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Copeland, who scored 11 points.

New Manna Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Manna Christian will face off against Tabernacle Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Tabernacle Christian is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Abundant Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Abundant Life Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 677th, while Victory Christian Academy is ranked 283rd).
