East Hartford took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Farmington, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the River Hawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since April 10, 2024.

East Hartford took Farmington into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Josh Ikechukwu paced East Hartford's offense, picking up 25 kills. Ikechukwu got some help from Ethan Lopez and his 47 assists. Ikechukwu was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

East Hartford pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Farmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
