It was a good run, but Bethany Community unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Royals earlier this season, when they won 49-41.

Melody Johnson was the offensive standout of the match as she went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alexis Holmes, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Bethany Community's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethany Community will host Winston-Salem Prep at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carver at 6:00 p.m. Carver's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so College Prep & Leadership Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
