Mt. Carmel barely beat Ramona the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sundevils put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 18-1 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Sundevils in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Clara Carter, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madie Codner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Mt. Carmel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .784. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mt. Carmel's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15.7 runs. As for Ramona, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Carmel will face off against Westview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sundevils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Ramona, they will square off against Fallbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
