Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Center Takes a Loss

Bethlehem Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Burgettstown Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 8-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bethlehem Center got a good showing from Brody Bebout, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Bebout has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bethlehem Center saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Lloyd, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Bethlehem Center's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Burgettstown, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

While Bethlehem Center had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
