Softball Recap: Tough Loss for Aurora

Thursday just wasn't the day for Aurora's offense. They came up short against the York Dukes, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now in which the Huskies have lost by exactly 10 runs.

For York's part, Ayanna Miller was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 while logging 1 home run, 3 RBIs, 2 runs, and 1 double. Miller has been locked in at the plate lately, hitting .390 over her last 15 games vs .257 previously this season.

Aurora has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-1 Seward (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 58.1% over those games). As for York, they have now won 12 of their last 14 games at home. That run has powered them to a 20-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Aurora nor York have any future games scheduled.
